[NFB-Blind-Crafters] trying crochet again need help

Is this the row you mean?

Row 1:

Into the first stitch and each stitch across the row, make 1 SC. CH 1 and
turn.

 

If so, it means to do a single crochet in each chain, after skipping the
first chain. 14 sc.

I'm not a very experienced crocheter, but that's how I read it.  She just
said it in a confusing way.
