That is what a cat pod is supposed to look like. I crocheted 10 or so last spring for a 4H club, that was doing a contest to see which club could collect the most. It was my nieces club and of course they won! 😊

Well, I am just now catching up on email as I had to do prep for a procedure and then of course, the procedure and sleeping the rest of that day.

So, the "knit" version of the cat pod I was trying needs some work on the pattern. Maybe it was for a different gauge or chunky yarn with giant needles. However, I used a number 4 yarn and size 10 (this is big for me as I like the 3-5 range). It came out more of a tube (think the shape of a cucumber) and the yarn I was using is very soft and pliable so it had no substance.

Therefore, I frogged that and I am now making a cowl to donate to a local shelter this winter. In fact, I think I am going to use up some of my stash that isn't enough for projects I want to make to make more of the cowls. This gives me a project that is portable because the hexagon sweater is no longer portable and requires more thinking. I am moving some stitches to a holder so that I can start going up the front and I think if I make this again that I will start on the front instead of the back.

I ordered buttons from Etsy for the sweater I’m making. I used Facetime to show my sister my sweater, and then sent her a link to the buttons that sound right, and she thinks they look good. We’ll see. They’re supposed to arrive by Monday, if not sooner.

While I’m waiting for them to arrive, I started knitting the throw a friend asked for.

Tracy
