I'm coming to the border section of the Kanak Shawl, which uses a lot of
pfb's, purl front and back. I'd welcome any hints about how to make this
stitch.
Cindy wrote about it, but she says she does Continental knitting, and I do
American.
I made an experiment, trying to do a pfb. I did an ordinary purl, without
flipping the loop off the left needle, then I brought the yarn to the back
(knit position), put my needle up through the back of the loop on the left
needle, wrapped my yarn, and flipped the loop off the left needle.
Is that how it's done, or is there an easier way?
Thanks.
Tracy
