Gosh Cindy, that’s scary. Did you take a project down to the basement with you?
At least all your projects are all together in their own bag, easy to pick up. But it is good to finish one before starting another. When my mother passed, there were lots of almost-finished projects, but missing the pattern, so we couldn’t even complete her work. It made me sad. So I try hard to have only 1 or 2 going at a time, usually one complicated and one easy to take with me to meetings and such.

I have a terrible habit of making “project bags” with everything I need for a project in it and then I start working on a different project with its own bag. I think I currently have cloth, tools, yarn, etc in about five different bags. Some of the projects need tools that are in a different project bag. I need to learn to finish one thing before I start another project.
We had a couple of tornadoes hit us here in Rochester, MN on Friday. Spent hours in the basement but was just north of where they hit. This is very early in the year for us.

Good on you, Sonya! You must be so organized now.
My stash was sort of organized, though nowhere near as well as yours. And now it’s started to run wild again, mainly because I put bags of yarn for projects I want to make soon on top of bins instead of neatly inside them. Organization is a never-ending process, I guess.
The Kanak shawl wasn’t really complicated, though it did end up with a whole lot of stitches, and I’m glad someone reminded me to use lifelines. Saved me a lot of misery.

Wow, great job everyone. And your shawl sound beautifully complex. I want to make my first shawl soon, for a friend. But will likely start with a easier pattern. Hehe
Me, the last few weeks I have been working on organising my knitting stuff. The Tap Form Pro database I mentionned but also organising my stash and left over yarn and also my knitting bag. Oh and I made a leather coin purse and billfold wallet, from beginners Tandy Leather kits and classes from another list.

I’ve let Successful Saturday slide for a while, but here it is again!
Have you started or finished a project, learned a new crafting skill, or achieved a goal since last time we had Successful Saturday? Share it with us and we’ll celebrate with you.
I will probably finish the Kanak shawl today! It’s coming out real nice. I’m excited to see what it’s like once it’s been blocked, but it’s already lovely.
And I learned to purl front and back making the border, which I never did before.
