Subject: [NFB-Blind-Crafters] Knit-along

I propose that we try a knit-along, and that we use the pattern I have for a 2-color “tweed” cowl. It’s called the Morton Cowl, if anyone wants to look it up on Ravelry.

It’s knit flat and the ends are sewn together to make it into a cowl. Otherwise it’s a 40-inch long, somewhat wide, scarf. The fabric feels like its woven, and has intermixed colors, but it’s actually easy to make. If you can knit and purl, you can make this.

You’ll need 1 skein each of 2 colors of worsted yarn and size 7 needles.

You’ll need a way to label the colors, so you’re sure you’re working with the right one at the right time.

I don’t know loom knitting, but it might work as well on that.

If this is agreeable to the people interested in a knit-along, we can figure out a day and time. If it’s not agreeable and people want to make something else, I welcome suggestions.

Tracy
