[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Projects that don’t work out

Please don't throw out yarn, lol. You can frog (undo, dismantle) the 
yarn. If it has been in the project for a long time, you will want to 
let the yarn rest and or wash it. To wash it, you want to make a hank. 
Use the back of a chair or anything that you are able to wrap the yarn 
around (at least 12 inches) and be able to to slip the yarn off. 
EXPLAINATION: a straight back chair that you wrap the yarn around and 
then grab two sides and be able to pull up and off the chair. You could 
also use a stool or a box or anything that is wide enough.

After wrapping the yarn around the chair back, take some scrap yarn 
pieces and tie around the yarn before pulling it off the chair. Tie at 
least two pieces, one on each side. You want to knot these pieces of 
yarn so that they do not come off and you can cut them off later. Put 
the yarn in a lingerie bag. If the yarn is washable, throw in washer, if 
not, soak in a pan or sink. No detergent is needed. If dryable, toss in 
a dryer on low. If not, take your hands and gently press to release as 
much water as possible. DO NOT twist or squish. Pat with towels and lay 
out to air dry. You could hang the hank over a hanger to allow it to air 
dry.

Once dry, wind into a ball or center pull cake.
