[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Hooray for the charity hat!

When I go to state convention, in February, I am taking a bunch of plastic
canvas book marks and will be edging them in the same color, black. It is
the main color used in all of them.

I might take a knitted hat, on needles, too!

I like to take something small, almost everywhere I go!

Tracy, I am like you I can't just sit still while in a long meeting, or
Bible study, or doctor's office waiting room. I have brought all kinds of
things. From starting an afghan while it is still easy to carry, baby
blankets, hats, scarves, baby dress, granny squares, booties, most anything
I make, smile. I usually get questions, if they aren't on their phones. .

Becky hugging you tightly

The other night I attended a meeting I knew would go on for hours. I have a
hard time sitting in a meeting without something to do with my hands. I
call it constructive fidgeting. But I wanted something simple, so I
wouldn't be distracted from the meeting, and my current project isn't at a
simple phase. So I cast on the start of a hat for charity before I went to
the meeting. Simple, easy to carry, and good to give away when I'm done. I
got quite a bit done during the meeting, too.

Do other people have projects like that to take to meetings? What do you
take?

Tracy
