Hi Everyone,
I pray and hope that you're all having a good start to 2026!
Just re-building my address book.
I got a Windows 11 computer from my dad for Christmas and am having to re-build my address book.
Blessings,
Melinda

That sweater sounds gorgeous!
I’m not at that expertise level yet, or I would grab the pattern. I might grab it anyway, as something to look forward to!
Becky, that closing comment had me laughing too. I once read a series with in it a knitting club where the crocheters called themselves “hookers”. :)
I have yet to learn crochet. I’m trying my hands at leather crafting.
Yesterday I finished a braided 3 colors scarf. I took the pattern at the end of a novel. I knitted three strips of 4 feet each, one red, one green and the third black. Then braided them. I used some yarn of the three colors. Braided together, to tie the beginning and end. Voila, very easy to make festive little scarf. Look awesome on my red winter coat.
Happy crafting (needling, hooking or looming!),
Sonya

That a gal. I really enjoy crochet. Once you get on to it, it is relaxing for the brain. Yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull up loops, yarn over and so forth.
Becky the happy hooker

I bought my first skein of Bernat Blanket yarn and learned how to make a slip not in my beginner crochet class.

Henry, that’s a very good question.
I might try crocheting a granny square or two. Or maybe crocheting a hat with an interesting pattern. Or knitting a simple but interesting hat. Or, I just bought a bundle of amigurumi yarn from Knitpicks, so I might crochet a gnome or leprechaun from patterns I just downloaded. Or, I decided a while back to try knitting with laceweight yarn, and I have a couple interesting shawl patterns I downloaded, so I might tackle that. But, if I go for lacework, I’ll need something simple too for when I want something mindless.
I have a lot of choices, as you can see.
Tracy

It’s Successful Saturday! Have you started or finished a project, or achieved a goal? Share it with us and we’ll celebrate with you.
I finished the sweater I’ve been working on since August! Yay! And it’s really nice. If we had an Instagram, I’d post a picture.
It’s the Lion Brand Tree of Life Cardigan pattern, with some modifications by me. It has 2 intertwined trees on each side of the front, and I added a simpler tree pattern on the upper sleeves. It’s chestnut-colored, a rich reddish-brown. It fits great, and I think it will be cozy.
I made it with Knitpicks High Desert Tweed, an all-American-made wool. It’s really nice yarn. It’s smooth, doesn’t split easily, and firm but soft.
I’m really pleased with how my project came out.
Tracy
