it might be called color blocking but the book i was reading called it color chunking and i think i saw something else online that called it that as well. i am not really sure how to do this so it stays connected to the project. for example making a little hedgehog where its belly is white and the body is brown. about a third of each row is white and the rest brown. i am thinking i would have to drop one color and then pick up the next but i might have to backtrack one peg so they are connected each time when i add the new color.....

not really sure about this. i am thinking i might just have to try it out with some scrap yarn....

Hi Renae and Family, those booties sound so cute! How is the newest member of the Family doing?

My Saturday project is crocheted Nike booties. They are pink, with a black sole and a black Nike swoosh. The tongue is sparkly white. They are for my 3 month old granddaughter.

Good Morning Jolene, what is color chunking please? I am more than willing to have a go at making a blanket on the loom with you. I have a 5/8 inch large gauge loom that has over 100 pegs on it that is made for blankets or afghans that is saying “Let’s have a go with me.” Let me know!

It’s Successful Saturday! Have you started or finished a project, or achieved a goal? Share it with us and we’ll celebrate with you.

I finished the sweater I’ve been working on since August! Yay! And it’s really nice. If we had an Instagram, I’d post a picture.

It’s the Lion Brand Tree of Life Cardigan pattern, with some modifications by me. It has 2 intertwined trees on each side of the front, and I added a simpler tree pattern on the upper sleeves. It’s chestnut-colored, a rich reddish-brown. It fits great, and I think it will be cozy.

I made it with Knitpicks High Desert Tweed, an all-American-made wool. It’s really nice yarn. It’s smooth, doesn’t split easily, and firm but soft.

I’m really pleased with how my project came out.

Tracy
