The tank is actually a v stitch, as tracy described,  not a shell. It means the stitches are open, like a mesh. So 99% of women would wear something under the tank, unless you are the “Pink Pony” girl.

If you use Yarn, that’s thin enough and your stitches are close enough together. You might not have to wear anything under that tank top but I personally would just be safe because I can’t see other peoples body parts and I’d rather than not see mine.

It sounds lovely, but it also sounds like a gal would have to wear something under it or else show quite a lot to the world.
