I am so sorry that Joyce suffered so much in the last few years of her life. She clearly wanted to live and I think she truly tried to defy most of the odds.

I am saddest for those who were closest to her.

She was a force to be reckoned with.

When I talked to Joyce last week, she was back in the hospital and having a good day. Her oxygen was tanking and she couldn't talk much. 
They had put her on prednisone and antibotics. Prednisone is really difficult for diabetics especially when in the hospital. Her goal was to get back to rehab and be up and walking in time to close on the house she was buying with her daughter.

My heart is broken at this news.
