[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Estimating yards of yarn used in a project

Hi Sonia.
One way to be pretty accurate is to go by weight. If you have a kitchen
scale that measures in grams, weigh the ball when you get it and write down
the weight. Then weigh it again when you've finished the project and write
down that weight. The difference is how much yarn you used.
With my little kitchen scale, I'd weigh the yarn a couple times and make
sure I got roughly the same answer both times.
Don't forget that the label might weigh a tiny bit, too.

Subject: [NFB-Blind-Crafters] Estimating yards of yarn used in a project
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to learn how to estimate (or a good guesstimate at least) how
much yards I used in a project.
My Tap Form Knitting database is progressing very well. But to get the most
out of it I need to be able to know how much yarn of a ball I used in a
project. At least have a good idea, if not to the inch. :)
If anyone have tips or suggestions I would appreciate it very much.
Happy crafting,
Sonya
