[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Estimating yards of yarn used in a project

Oh!

Now I get it. Why the yarn labels always includes the weight!

Thank you everyone. And Cindy, thank you for the “weighting the finished project” tip. :)

I’m also curious, what’s a yardage counter?

Have a great day,

Sonya

I use a yardage counter but many knitters that keep records weigh the yarn.

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to learn how to estimate (or a good guesstimate at least) how much yards I used in a project.

My Tap Form Knitting database is progressing very well. But to get the most out of it I need to be able to know how much yarn of a ball I used in a project. At least have a good idea, if not to the inch. :)

If anyone have tips or suggestions I would appreciate it very much.

Happy crafting,

Sonya
