Oh, a little follow up question…

What’s the abreviation for a pearl through the back loop stitch please?

Thanks!

Dixie, that sounds like a neat and easy solution. I’m writing it down.

I cannot do the calisthenics needed to purl through the back loop.

What I do is

Step 1: slip the stitch to the right needle purl-wise.

Step 2: Slip the stitch back to the left needle twisting it 180 degrees clock-wise. You’ve now made the back loop the front loop.

Step 3: purl that stitch through the front loop.

Cheating, yes. Effective, yes.

I know how to knit through the back loop, but can anyone explain to me how to purl through back loop? I’ve tried, but I can’t figure it out. Or is it too complicated to explain, and I need to get someone to show me? I know a very good knitter, but she’s not so good at explaining patiently.
