[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Successful Saturday

the tactile german shepherd is a multimedia project which is slated to be
donated to the seeing eye as a display piece. it is made of foam core
board, wood, duct tape, various types of clay, a glass bead, fake fur,
leather, some chain and metal jewelry findings, and some plastic and
possibly another type of fabric.
this project combines a lot of my skills such as sculpting, painting,
leather work, sewing, and jewelry making. i am about a third of the way
done. right now it is the skeleton of the dog which will be felt under the
fur covering. she will wear a harness and leash.
it is the most detailed art project i have done since losing my eyesight 20
years ago.
