[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Knitting size question

I don’t think it’s an error, because the difference between the size measurements for bust measurement and finished measurement add up to 12 inches. It’s just a whole lot of ease. Maybe some people like summer tops to be really loose?

Wow! I would ask Lion Brand about that. It is an error in the pattern. And ease is usually 2 inches.

I’d do similar.

I hate when patterns give that type of info.

I took a workshop during the Knit Happy Summit about choosing the right size from a pattern, but I guess I didn’t understand it as well as I thought.

I’m looking at a pattern for a summer top at Lion Brand. It says:

To fit bust: 28 (32, 36, 40, 44)(48, 52, 56, 60)”

Finished Bust: 40 (44, 48, 52, 56)(60, 64, 68, 72)”

It also says the pattern has 12 inches of ease.

That seems like a whole lot of ease.

I’m roughly “large” in the “to fit” specs, but I’m thinking that I could choose size medium and still have 8 or so inches of ease, so it would still be plenty loose.

Do other experienced knitters think that is correct?

Tracy
