Oh, Henry, we used to do the same thing as I grew up in Kentucky. Papaw's tomatoes were wonderful! We passed the salt shaker around just as your family did. I wouldn't take anything for those wonderful summer days or all the love that went into growing those tomatoes. .

I love home grown tomatoes that are warm from the sun, my Family used to sit in the middle of my Grandfathers garden with a salt shaker and eat a tomato right off of the vine, yum!

It's Successful Saturday! Have you started or finished a project, or achieved a goal? Share it with us and we'll celebrate with you.
My successes are in the garden this week. I got my first oregano harvest of the season yesterday, with plenty more to get, more than I have containers for. And I've been busy pulling weeds and putting out summer plants like squash and peppers. And one of my tomato plants actually has tomatoes starting already! Can't beat home-grown tomatoes.
