[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Scrappy blanket crochet project

It's a good thought Henry, but I'm not sure. I have lots of small balls of
yarn myself, but I don't have a large amount in a neutral like black, white
or grey. I could certainly buy some, and it would be a fun project, but I
feel ambivalent about buying more yarn to use up yarn, if you get my drift.
Though white and grey are always useful. Never been a fan of black, except
in Labradors.

Hi Tracy, I'd like to try this out to use up some small but still useful
balls of yarn, are you planning any kind of a Crochet Along with this one?

Last week I saw a crochet pattern using scrap yarn that sounds interesting.
I think it's called the scrappy blanket.

You crochet a blanket, alternating a row of single crochet and a row of
double crochet. Then you take pieces of yarn long enough to go across the
blanket and weave them through the double crochet rows. You can then
crochet a border or leave the ends of the yarn pieces as fringe. It said to
not use yarn thinner than DK, and to make either the blanket or the scraps
in a neutral color. And the scraps don't have to be the same thickness,
which should add interesting texture.

Sounds like a fun way to use up lots of small balls of yarn.

Tracy
