It’s kind of straightened out for the time being. That was a big lucky 13 day for me yesterday. :-) And I got to see my parents because it was an appointment that came up suddenly and so instead of using , transportation companies and all that stuff my folks came 45 minutes to get me and then we drove another hour or so up to Madison to the big UW hospital. UW stands for University of Wisconsin by the way. So all is good though I don’t like the back, some medicine got added and changed, but if it keeps me sane and functional, I guess that’s what you gotta do.

Well, I am quite proud that I made a scarf and crochet a hat this week. No patterns just freelance practice hoping it looks like something by the end. Lol I guess I’m getting a little too intimate with the yarn. Anyway, hopefully I’ll be more aware of what’s going to happen when I actually use a pattern because I can say to myself oh is that what that stitch is?! Anyhow my mom took my hat. It was a beautiful white with double and single stitch crochet. I think that was the attempt. Anyhow, I tried to have a pattern on the ends of the scarf with the main scarf being knit. I started the ends with pearl, pearl knit, pearl, pearl knit , pearl pearl knit and then went back into the pearl one more time and started knitting at least that’s what attempted to do. Was a green multicolor green actually yarn that was I don’t know it’s not thick, but it’s not thin either. It’s kind of fuzzy but not fuzzy sort of like a pipe cleaner fuzzy , if that makes any sense, maybe it is kind of a. Couldn’t read the box and I mean it was a box because someone passed away and my former Girl Scout leader saw this box of white and neat green yarn all like they were going to prepare to make a blanket or something, and she took it and gave it to me. I’m not ready for prime time but things are more often. Turning out decent or as I hope they would rather than just oh crap this looks awful now what do I do?

Ericka Nelson

KD9VBX

On Sep 14, 2024, at 9:56 AM, Tracy Carcione via NFB-Blind-Crafters <nfb-blind-crafters@nfbnet.org> wrote:

It’s Successful Saturday!
