Every minute was incredible. The people were so friendly and cheerful.

I had my first taste of shepherd’s pie and loved it. When their son was born, Prince Edward Albert and his wife Alexandria, sent an engraved silver baby cup to the family, which lived in Curragh . We were given a private tour of Curragh Church and the manor house (the manor house was closed for the day), where we were allowed to hold the baby cup. During the tour, our guide, Basil allowed me to touch and explore (with white gloves on, of course!) the gold filigree design on the antique, Chinese furniture. It was so intricate and beautiful. I felt so honored. We saw the Shell House, which was created by a grieving Mother from shells, which were sent to her by people all over the world.

There is so much beauty and history to be discovered on the Emerald Island. The most famous Irish harper, O’Carolan, was a blind person, as are some other of the old great composers.
