I usually have the pattern written out in an Excel spread sheet. Then<br>
navigate through the rows and columns for the parts of the pattern. I make<br>
a mark at the end of the row I just finished and save the pattern. Then the<br>
next time I go back I know where to start from. I also leave notes on the<br>
pattern where I have inserted lifelines in case I have to rip back, I know<br>
exactly where to start from .<br>

Finally, I use lots of Way-Tags. I use them on the yarns to mark the<br>
skeins. I use one on every project so if I put the project down for a day,<br>
a week, a month, 10 years, I know exactly what the project is. I clip on<br>
the Way-Tag with a locking stitch marker.<br>
I note on the Way-Tag the name of the project, color and yarn that is used,<br>
needle size, what rows my lifelines are inserted into, and what row I left<br>
off on.<br>

And for anyone who doesn't know what a Way-Tag is. They are small button<br>
like or magnetic tags created for the blind. There is an app for the phone<br>
or a way-tag reader that has a form to fill in. So, I scan the tag, fill in<br>
what fields I want for the item I am marking, hit the create button, scan<br>
the tag and the information is written to that tag.<br>
