I have an old sell phone pouch I keep my home phone in, while home, along with little thing: comb, hand wipes, and more recently chap stick. This pouch is about dead with quite a large hole on the seam. I guess at one point it slid on a belt, but the sell phone would lay horizontal on its side. That can’t be safe as the Velcro closure is not strong. So it being vertical on my breaks makes so much more sense. This pouch is incredibly useful to me. Kevin demanded, rightly, I have a phone with me at all times. My home phone slips nicely into the pouch.

I want the pouch a bit larger so when out, I can replace my home phone for my cell phone in it. Now I found a deck of cards in plastic canvas. It is the perfect size for the home phone and replaced space for the sell phone. Four inches wide, the sides are one and a half inches. The base is 4 inches by one and a half inches. The height is the problem. It needs to be six inches tall. With a generous flap over to keep my phone dry, and it needs an extra back to slip the break handle up through to hold the new pouch on the handle.

Now I thought I would use the plastic canvas playing card holder for now. I am going to make with yarn a cover. The stiff plastic canvas is great to hold the yarn and pouch smartly on the break handle.

But what could I get or have made that is more water repellant, I live in the Seattle area. That would be more permanent. Could someone make me a Black leather or similar pouch? Could someone sew me a pouch with very stiff material that repels water. Remember it needs an extra back, open on the top and bottom to slip the break handle through.

Do any of you have ideas to make this pouch better?
