You chain in multiples of five. By the way leave a long tail in case you don’t end in a single crochet. In the fourth chain, DC four times. The chain three acts as a double crochet. Skip two chains, and single crochet. Skip two chains and make another shell with 5 double crochet. End with a Single crochet. Chain three and turn. If your chains are tight, do four chains at the end. You turned and made the four chains and in total five double crochets. Again, this might be six depending on how the point lays. You don’t want a bad curl in that end shell. This is why you are doing a sample. Ok you are finished with the first shell on the second row. Skip two Double crochet and single crochet. Go find the single crochet on the first row and put a shell there five double crochet. Go the rest of the row and single crochet on the top of the last shell.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>You will get these lovely points on the end of each row. I have seen it in light blue with the ripple. Show it to your sighted friend and they will turn the afghan front and back trying to figure out why it is reversable, giggle.
