I do believe there are some juries we should be on, but the case I heard was not one of them. That does not mean that all local court official or judges know that piece of the law. If you contest a jury dismissal, you may need to contact your state president for support. But if you are called and want to serve, you are definitely allowed to do so. I know many blind people who have served.
