They weren't sure whether to select me, and the attorney was concerned. I told him that if he did his job well and was objective rather than subjective, all the things can be described to me. They selected me. However, a significant witness did not show, and so the jury was postponed and we were considered having served our jury duty.<br id="lineBreakAtBeginningOfSignature"><div dir="ltr">K. Judges can be taught to ask. Attorneys may not be teachable, but judges will matter more inthe long run. After you have been eliminated from one case, you can still raise a complaint. It will not affect the case you were dropped from, but it may give you another opportunity. I have seen that happen. I do believe there are some juries we should be on, but the case I heard was not one of them. That does not mean that all local court official or judges know that piece of the law. If you contest a jury dismissal, you may need to contact your state president for support. But if you are called and want to serve, you are definitely allowed to do so. I know many blind people who have served. Kind of a hero of mine. I occasionally attend town council meetings and knit, of course. We are as competent as anyone else who might serve.
