So I took it to my knitting group today and showed it to our most experienced knitter, who loves to help people out with their knitting. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>She said that a swatch needs to be measured on the center 4 inches, not the whole thing. I didn’t know that. I think it might be hard for me to measure in the center and count the stitches, unless I measure right by the needle, and that might throw the length off. I’ll try it when I get farther along, since I’ve cast on now.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>I wasn’t getting gauge, but I like my fabric with the needle I’m using, so she helped me figure out that, if I make the next smaller size with my biggerstitches, I’ll get the right size.
