I am pretty sure it was congestive heart failure. She was having the
symptoms and trying to get into her doctor but having a terrible
time getting an appointment. She then had some kind of episode and
her daughter found her by her bed. She was in the hospital for
several weeks and then transferred to a rehab center because she
couldn't get out of bed. After being at the rehab center, her oxygen
tanked and they sent her back to the hospital. The last time I
talked with her she was finally improving and capable of talking to
me. I am not sure if she had any more good days after that. She was
also a diabetic and that is a real struggle in hospitals. I am
sharing because that is the kind of person she was. No one was a
stranger for long.

Another member (already passed), did lead her to the Lord. She lived
the life of a servant long before knowing Christ.
Joanne Jordan here. I am very sad and grieving over the
death of Joyce Kane. I went to national conventions with
her. I lived in Massachusetts at the time and she lived in
Connecticut. We met at the same stopover airport on our
way to national convention. I don\u2019t remember what airport
but I think it was 2008 and 2009 national conventions. I
was in the room when this division began. Joyce was a joy
to be around and I always wanted to be with her. She was
the type of person that all of us look up to and aspire to
be. That is what we can all get from Krafters Korner. I
have asked questions here and had them answered in a way
that I can understand. We the blind always have the battle
every day of proving ourselves to our friends and
families! That\u2019s is why this division is so important and
so is the NFB.
