I have lots of small balls of yarn myself, but I don’t have a large amount in a neutral like black, white or grey. I could certainly buy some, and it would be a fun project, but I feel ambivalent about buying more yarn to use up yarn, if you get my drift. Though white and grey are always useful. I think it’s called the scrappy blanket.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>You crochet a blanket, alternating a row of single crochet and a row of double crochet. Then you take pieces of yarn long enough to go across the blanket and weave them through the double crochet rows. You can then crochet a border or leave the ends of the yarn pieces as fringe. It said to not use yarn thinner than DK, and to make either the blanket or the scraps in a neutral color.
