[NFB-Braille-Discussion] Foreign languages that make good use of Braille

All languages do not use abbreviated forms in braille. Many do. However, it is a misconception that all do. Hebrew, for example, does not use any contracted forms. It is very important to approach every new language in braille with a blank slate, so to speak.

I learned Japanese braille in high school. It's not easy to get materials in Japanese braille, but it was fun learning it.

So I use English, Spanish, French, and Esperanto and can read some Italian as well. I have seen German, Hebrew and Arabic. I would probably start out with languages I know and then expand if that makes sense.
