Hello all,

First let me say that I am happy to be a member on this discussion group. Braille has been an integral part of my life since I was a child. I absolutely love those six little dots. In Texas, where I reside, it is a hit or miss with braille menus and restaurants. However, thankfully with smart phones, you can usually pull menus up online. I always like the reaction I get from my sided friends and family members when I already know what I want from the restaurant because I have pull the menu up on my phone before getting there.

> Hi Debra thanks for your message. Here in Central Florida, we very rarely see braille menus at restaurants. Last year I was a participant in the Independent Living Skills program at the Rehabilitation Center For The Blind And Visually Impaired in Daytona, Beach, Florida. During the program, the participants went out to dinner on several occasions. A few of the restaurants did not have braille menus.

The staff couldn't find their braille menu, so they decided to print a new one. The braille on the new menu did not come out properly. I would like to see more braille menus in restaurants. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic.
