Hello:

The Canute is a nine line forty cell book reader. The Canute is
primarily intended for reading braille book files. It will read .brf or .pef
files.
The Canute is NOT battery powered, so it must be plugged in. The Canute is
at its heart a mechanical device, so it does make some noise. The noise is
like that of the older mechanical adding machines. Once a book is opened,
the user reads the first nine lines and presses the "next" button. After the
first line refreshes, the user can start reading the next section of the
book without waiting for the rest of the page to refresh.
The Canute is a book reader and not a display for a PC. Hope this helps.
American Thermoform Corp. has a small supply of Canutes for $2,500 plus
shipping.
Have a great day.

Regards,

Robert
