You can write on plastic. It's just that sometimes, if the plastic is a
little bit thicker, and you need to punch a little harder, you can't do it
with the electric braillers. If this has changed with the new ones, I
haven't seen it. Maybe someone who has one can shed light on the subject. I
never did like electric braillers, but that's a personal preference. A
friend of mine loves hers.

So the electric braillers can't write on plastic? Couldn't you have the
brailer adjusted so it has a stronger punch force so it could then emboss on
labels and plastic permabraille sheets?
