If you have some way of writing braille why don't you create a few
paragraphs in uncontracted braille. Then once you can read that easily copy
the file  and change some of the braille to use whatever contractions you
want to learn first. Some people like to start with the alphabetic
contractions for sentences such as "as you like it".
