This is true.  In JAWS 2020 and JAWS 2019 with latest update,, Hartgen Consultancy Zoom scripts are included in JAWS by FreedomScientific.
The keyboard command, WindowsKey + ALT + S, will silence Zoom announcements.
This command is a toggle, so repeating will turn announcements back on.

If you are using JAWS then insert-spacebar then s silences speech. This is a toggle.  I read that in recent versions of jaws windows-alt-s also works, but have not tried yet.
