Greetings:
The National Federation of the Blind has been a longtime advocate for
accessible voting for the blind. Democracy Live, a company that develops and
deploys accessible voting technology, has supported this effort in several
states with its OmniBallot online voting system and its OmniBallot Tablet.
In my home state of Colorado, blind voters and those with print disabilities
can use Democracy Live's OmniBallot system to mark and return their ballots
from their own homes and offices using the hardware and software with which
they are most familiar.
If you would like to learn more about the online voting with the OmniBallot
system or the OmniBallot Tablet solution that Democracy Live has for
accessible in-person voting, then please attend the noon-time session on
Monday, July 6 in Room 202. Prior to this session, a representative from
Democracy Live will be staffing Table A8 in the Convention Exhibit Hall when
the Exhibit Hall is open.
The right to cast a ballot that is truly secret and accessible to all is
fundamental to our democracy. Come and learn about accessible options that
enable the blind to exercise this right.
Yours sincerely,
Curtis Chong
