Trish,
I got mine in Phoenix. I've had the Phonak since 2006. I just got a pair 
of new ones when I got back from HKNC. The digital versions probably did 
not become widely available until after 2005 or 06. Prior to moving to 
AZ in 2006 I still had the old monologue version.
