[nfb-db] Florida Support Service Program Training Workshop - Orlando

I understand but you have to realize that what happened to AADB happened a
couple of years ago so it is going to take some time.  I wish things would
turnover quickly but it takes a team effort to get things done;
unfortunately, in every organization there are some who simply do not
contribute their full potential and the goals get lost in the meantime. 

Support and encouragement of one another is going to make a huge difference.
One thing that I've noticed in my journey as a Deaf-Blind individual
(recorgnized in 2010) is that there are many talented individuals out there
and it takes a team effort to be success along with determination!  It can
be done.

Patence and perseverance.  

Just continue to be supportive and do your part, it will come.

I am proud of you and others who take the time to be proactive!!

Darlene,
I wish that AADB was financially and physically up to holding another
conference. I have recently gotten involved in the AADB rebuilding. Its slow
and not going very fast. This is not meant to be offensive to anyone who is
a die hard AADB supporter, but they are not doing anything. Its sad. But
this also means that perhaps this means that organizations like the NFB
should step in for persons who are deafblind. 

Yes Southeastern PA has a brand new SSP program. I am heavily involved in
this. I know the coordinator personally as he lives just a few minutes from
my home in PA. I am also on a committee to help the state rehab agencies
form a state wide SSP program. Right now the SE PA SSP program only covers 8
counties, the state wide program will serves the whole state. PA has a
medium size deafblind program, we are finding them every day. 

I was also going to ask what is the FL DB left behind registery?
