GDF, Guide dog Foundation is in Smithtown. Why do we all come to LI? Because GDF is the best guide dog school for persons who have additional disabilities. Yes there are other guide dog schools, in NJ, Ohio, Michigan, California, and in the upstate New York. Some of them have special programs for persons with additional disabilities, others do not. I was denied a successer dog from The Seeing Eye in NJ because I am deafblind. I am not saying that The Seeing eye is not a good school, but they are not equiped to serve persons who are deafblind.
Does that answer your question?
