[nfb-db] DB Conference Calls

I haven't gotten an answer yet from Joe Naulty, but I feel confident in stating that conference calls are not open calls, but they are for the executive board and invitees only.   

Many divisions enjoy monthly phone conferences where anyone can call in and listen.  With Joe Naulty as president, the Deaf-blind Division has enjoyed a surge of energy and popularity.  Not everyone is able to hear over the phone.  I hope that in the future, the Deaf-Blind Division too  can have monthly conferences.  I think they will need to be  in an environment that supports text, voice, and braille.    

It's clear to me that we have some work to do on getting information out to general membership all year long.  If you know who the Outreach Team Leader is in your state, please reach out to them.  If your state does not have an outreach team leader, consider offering your service in that capacity.  I am confident that our Division will gain more transparency; it's just a matter of selecting the right technology and developing our policy of accessibility.
