[NFB-DB] losing my hearing

You might be able to find a low cost class for learning ASL or sign language. Sometimes if there is a school for the deaf or hard of hearing, they will offer class. I have in the past worked with interpretors who need or want to make extra money to teach me sign. Also there are orgs for the deaf, like the texas association of the deaf, you could ask if they offer classes.

Hope that helps

It isn't hard to find a class these days. It might not seem really important now, but as your hearing lessens, it will.Get it over with now or it will be harder later.

I have really bad inner ear issues of late and I have some ringing, I think that is what it is, like everything is an echo tunnel! So I find myself not wanting to go out to crowded places because I cant hear when people try to call to me or just try to talk to me! Even my phone is on the loudest level and if I am out, I have problems to understand what a caller is saying that is if I hear my phone! I actually have stopped answering the phone when I am out because of this! I think they will try to tell me I need allergy shots again but, I cant take them anymore because of my ms. Any kind of shot causes me to pass out woe. I even have to lay down if they need to draw blood otherwise I pass out when my lips turn blue woe!
> So is their a specific test I should ask for? I do not want the general hearing test because it always seems to be in a controlled environment. NO one has ever said why my ears ring and I get that echo tingling tunnel affect! It is real annoying because my ears buzz and they iche inside of my ear! Does this happen to anyone else?
