Hi. I am DeafBl and working my 2nd dog. My first dog was from the Specialized training program at Guiding Eyes for the Blind. And my current dog is from The Seeing Eye. Both schools have been very accommodating. And both my dogs have been very good guides. Research each program and talk to admissions about your specific needs. They will tell you if they can work with you or not. No school is better than the other. It's more about finding which school will meet your needs best. Good luck in your journey in finding a guide dog program.

I have never had a dog before and am hoping having a dog will help me walk in a straight line, follow better without holding onto a hunan, and feel more confident in traveling as a deafblind person. Any thoughts and suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
