[NFB-DB] Introduction

Hi Sean,
Welcome to the list. I'm new here too, just a few weeks. I'm getting closer to just light blind, finger movement now. My hearing borders mild to moderate, on the moderate side now. Hearing aids really help with most of it. There is at least one place about 5000 where there is total deafness. This happens to be where all those beeps for electronic timers or stove is now heated goes off. Fortunately it is only one ear. Not sure which will go first, my hearing or my eyes. Probably my eyes.

Welcome Sean,

My name is Marsha 1st Vice President of the NFB Deafblind division. I am totally blind with severe to profound hearing loss. I don't currently have a working guide; my guide that was the most recent was Minnie, retired in 2018, from the Guide Dog foundation. I currently work as an Access Technology Instructor for seniors who are losing their vision. 

We are happy you have joined our division and mailing listserv. 

As you can see there are lots of folks on the list.

I have a  guide dog  from Southeastern  guide dogs.
I’m  pretty  much totally  blind, with  light, shapes  , shadows. And  motion with  mild hearing lost   with the  use  of  hearing aids.
