Hi Leisa,
When I go into an area where there is loud noise, including music, I turn my
hearing aids all the way down. It seems to help. Not sure if it still
protects the remaining hearing or not.

I am in search of good over the ear headphones that would dampen high
decibels at a live concert. I am going with my daughter to a concert this
summer, and I typically wear hearing aids. I want to not damage the
remaining hearing that I have.
