Good afternoon everyone, or good evening if you're on the East Coast. I
just wanted to highlight a couple of things from the agenda for next
Saturday. The first thing everyone should be aware of is Jennifer Wenzel
the national employment committee chairperson will be joining us to talk
about death alignments and employment. The other thing is that we will
talk about the volunteer SSP programs in the job description. Our second
vice president tells me that she they will have something to present to
us next week. I think were also going to get an update on fundraising
ideas. And I think we will also depending on how things go have a
discussion about how we are perceived in tech-support circles when it
comes to talking about braille with speech and access to technology. I'm
thinking of the discussions we've had in the board about issues
concerning the iPhone and braille access. As well as smart phones in
general. And I have personally had some issues with support when trying
to remind support professionals that I'm deaf blind. It seems, that the
world thinks all one needs is to be able to hear the speech. Of course
many of you already know, that braille is equally as important. I like
forward to seeing all of you next Saturday evening starting at 8 PM
East, 7 PM central, 6 PM Mountain, and 5 PM Pacific time. You might want
to come a few minutes early to get through the waiting room. If anyone
has any questions, comments and/or concerns please don't hesitate to
send me in email. I thank you all for reading this and have a great rest
of your Sunday afternoon, or Sunday evening. Let's make it a great week
everyone. See you on Saturday evening.
