Thanks Scott, absolutely. I promise we will not lose track of this important use case.
Please let me know if you encounter other issues like this.

Hi Jonathan.
If you please pass this along, I'd truly appreciate it! I am on the Meta Testflight seed and am happy to test and provide feedback if it gets that far. Given the heavy focus on tech, I'm not sure this would be the place to open up a general discussion about various AI tools and braille access. With all of these products using TTS, it means the text is there somewhere. It would seem more inclusive to also give the user an easy way to have access to it if that is their desire.
Thanks for reading and your fast reply!
Scott

Hi Scott, I think you are getting that response because Meta AI is available on other meta properties such as Facebook and WhatsApp, where you can indeed type.
But to the best of my knowledge you're right, there is no way to type to meta AI. I don't think it would be difficult to add this to the Meta AI app.
I can raise this with them when we are in touch with them.

Subject: [NFB-DB] Meta Smart glasses and access via text?
Hi all.
I'm asking this here as I assume others may have tried these smart glasses as well and perhaps know something I don't. However, this is also an issue I think the division should look at more closely. I'm trying out the Meta Smart Glasses and they're neat if you have enough hearing and clear speech to take advantage of them. They work well with my Phonak hearing aids which are connected to my phone. I'm wondering if there is a way to type to the Meta AI instead of talking to it? I don't mean through Messenger or some other way, I'm referring to the images that are taken with the glasses. Having equal access to the glasses for braille only users who can't speak would be nice. However, I'm not finding this option anywhere. I asked the glasses in speech if I could text instead of speak, and here is what it said. "You can type instead of talk by simply typing your question or message in the chat window. Most virtual assistants, including myself, support both voice and text input. Just start typing, and I'll respond accordingly!" However, I can't find a chat box. Does anyone know where I may find it? I've searched through settings and couldn't locate it. Thanks for any help or further confirmation that it doesn't exist. I'm hoping I've overlooked something very simple and this isn't an actual issue, though it still is one generally speaking.
With thanks in advance for any input,
Scott
