I’m DeafBlind and I own an accredited K-12 nonprofit school. We have
onsite, supervised independent homeschoolers, and supervised online
students. I now teach the online students some of whom are special needs,
some regular students, and gifted students.
I use live transcription with and without braille depending on my daily
vision level. I do one on one direct teaching using videoconferencing
software similar to Zoom. Chat helps if my student has voice issues, but
Live Transcription works well. I use multiple cameras to help my students
see what I am showing them. Technology helps get the job done.
