[NFB-DB] Notice Regarding DeafBlind Division Business Meeting and Board Updates

Good evening, DeafBlind Division:

I wanted to write to all of you to provide an update on the division,
specifically our most recent business meeting and changes made to our
national board.

I have received some questions regarding the virtual connection information
for the July 5 DeafBlind Division annual meeting at National Convention. 

We faced some unforeseen technical difficulties that prevented us from
having a remote option for members who could not attend the meeting
in-person. My sincere apologies to anyone who was planning to join us
remotely but was unable to. We intend to bring this option back next year.

As has been previously mentioned, there have been some changes made to the
DeafBlind Division Board as a result of our recent board elections.

. 

First, Jessie Kramer has resigned her position as secretary, and Jonathan
Mosen has been elected as her successor. Jessie continues to serve on the
board, however, as she has taken the position previously held by Chris
Westbrook. Delcenia Brown has also been elected to fill the position
previously held by Ferral Domingue, who also stepped down from the board. 

The current board includes the following:

President, Rocky Hart of Minnesota

First Vice-President, Robert Stigile of California

Second Vice-President, Anna Trotman of Alabama

Secretary, Jonathan Mosen of Maryland

Treasurer, Sara Coleman of Iowa

Board Position 1: Jessie Kramer of Utah

Board Position 2: Jeff Giffen of Missouri

Board Position 3: Delcenia Brown of Ohio

Board Position 4: Hannah Furney of Minnesota.

 

 

We do not have a public board meeting scheduled yet, but I will be sure to
provide that information as soon as it is available. In the meantime, you
