I have very little wax in the my HA ear and none in my CI ear. The doctor sent me down to have a hearing test with his audiologist. Before we went down there, my mom mom asked at the front desk if my Medicare pays for that. If the business does accept Medicare, often times you would have to co-pay as Trish has already stated. Each state is different, under Obamacare, depending on the plan you chose. For example, in my state, we also have state medical insurance which is similar to Medicaid. Medicaid is not Medicare. My state insurance under the Obamacare helps cover my audiology expenses. It also depends on the audiology location. Because not all audiology places accept Obamacare related (or state) health insurance or Medicare. And sometimes you would have to travel to another city or town just to find an audiology that does accept it. Also, not every state has accepted Obamacare, due to the political firestorm over it.
