For example, during both the 2013 and 2014 national conventions, there were resolutions the DB devision "jed hard to pass, but nothing of this effort was ever mentioned on this mailing list. I would have gladly lended my support, but I had no idea what was happening. I think part of what needs to happen is that the officers moving forward with actions need to be more public about these actions which will also encourage more people to get involved.</div><div><br></div><div>Jmo,</div><div>Scott<br><br>Sent from my iPhone</div><div><br>On Oct 31, 2014, at 5:56 PM, heather albright via nfb-db <<a href="mailto:nfb-db@nfbnet.org">nfb-db@nfbnet.org</a>> wrote:<br><br></div><blockquote type="cite"><div>

<div>Hi Chris and Scott, and everyone out there in cyber land,</div>
<div>Yes this is a very very good point. Just like with other organizations
who are not as open as they should be, NFB DB should have that openness. we
should be visible. Many of the other divisions, or groups or affiliates have
facebook pages, or twitter accounts, or other social media outlets. So should
the NFB DB division. </div>
<div>This will be a major gola of our affiliate division once the constitution
is approved. </div>
<div>Having a social media view, would possibly bring people into the
organization, would help everyone know what the organization is doing, and
keep everyone on the same page. </div>
<div>What does everyone else think? I will do what I can to help. </div>
<div>My time is limited as I am back in school, but winter break is coming
up. </div>

<div>Hello Sheri and all other DB devision members.</div>
<div>I'm replying to your message on list, as I think it is good that
other people see who is doing what and where they are doing it. I think
one thing the national DB devision needs to do is get digital. What I mean
is, get on Facebook, Twitter, get all of the officers on this mailing
list, start a news letter, publicize the website, etc. This is just my
opinion, but I do not think many of us are aware of what is happening
within the national DB devision. If members do not know, how can that help
with any sort of effort regarding DB issues? I'm not trying to criticize
the leadership with this email at all, so I hope this message is not
taken that way, I'm just offering input and suggesttions.</div>
