I have RP with just a little vision left, but it too is diminishing. My hearing loss in one ear was most likely due to a previous job. In the other ear it was due to leakage of radiation up into the Trigeminal nerve. Being blind from retinoblastoma never seemed like a huge deal to me, but losing my hearing from the radiation therapy for the retinoblastoma has been a long and challenging road. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I wrote a book during the pandemic, WHEN YOUR EARS CAN’T HELP YOU SEE, published by National Braille Press, designed to help newcomers to dual sensory loss with strategies.
